Ongoing Workshops
Conflict Sensitivity
Peace Team Forum has gathered an interesting mixture of people, from peace, development, human rights, and SIDA, to try out together some practical ways to make their work more conflict-sensitive. The group has a one-day workshop each month, led by Sue Williams from CDA and Northern Ireland, followed by opportunities for each participating organization to get Sue's input or advice for whatever they are currently dealing with. The two workshops to date have dealt with conflict analysis and designing interventions in conflict. Two remain, focusing on conflict-sensitive monitoring and evaluation, and on strategies that involve more than one organization.
Dialogue & Mediation
A workshop series that aiming to give the participants a tool to work with strategic planning and establishing mediation and dialogue project but also to act as an mediator. The aim with the seminars is to help participants to better understand what mediation is, what it means to be a mediator and be better able to do mediation.
We focus on conflicts in working-sites with the understanding that the main principle for mediation is very similar irrespective of whether it concerns interpersonal or international conflict. Then we will have one workshop with Geoffrey Correy, from Glencree in Dublin in political dialogue and mediation and finally a workshop with Sue Williams in strategic planning of mediation processes.
